Ingredients:
- • 1 pound of Pork Sausage
• 4 tablespoons of Butter
• 4 tablespoons of Flour
• 2 teaspoons of Salt
• 2 teaspoons of Black Pepper
• 3 cups of whole milk
Instructions:
- Cook sausage over medium heat in a large skillet. Be sure to break the sausage up to your desired size.
- Once the sausage has been browned, add the butter to the pan. Allow it to melt fully, stirring it into the sausage.
- Sprinkle flour over the sausage, stirring to incorporate it fully. Add the salt and pepper to taste. Stir until the mixture is relatively uniform.
- Slowly add 1 cup of the milk to the sausage, stirring until smooth. Slowly stir in the remaining milk, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture up to a boil, reduce it to a simmer and allow the gravy to simmer for at least one full minute—then turn off the heat.
